In this episode, we have with us Agia Putri, a children-books illustrator who uses her talent in art as a way to resist to oppression and injustice. Herself a mother, Agia shared how children now need more books teaching Islamic values.

Is a prominent Indonesian freelance illustrator and concept artist based in Bandung who specializes in children’s book illustration. A graduate of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in Fine Arts, she has illustrated over 30 books published both domestically and internationally. Since 2017, she has also served as the exclusive illustrator for several Bandung-based children’s organizations, including the preschool JejaKecil and the event organizer Superkids.

Inaya Pananto is a designer and writer passionate in learning more about Islam holistically. Currently based in Jakarta, she’s been exploring her craft in cooking, hosting, arts and everything in between.
